R-Class RC50 Incande – Signature Collection Pointe Shoe
The R-Class Stable RC50 Incande makes pointe shoes for hypermobile feet — the very flexible foot that, for all its beautiful line, tends to roll inward, sickle, or sink past its balance point on pointe. A foot like that doesn’t need to be forced; it needs guidance, something to help it stay centered without killing the mobility that makes it expressive. That’s what the Incande is designed to give, and it does it mainly through one feature: the vamp.
It’s part of R-Class’s pleatless Signature Collection, the line built for a precise fit and a clean, sculpted look — so the support comes without bulk under the foot.
What makes these pointe shoes for hypermobile feet?
The standout feature of the Incande is its V-shaped vamp with a drawstring — a design that sets it apart from the U-cut vamp on most in-stock R-Class shoes. A U-vamp stops before it reaches the sides of the foot. The V-vamp’s extended wings instead reach up along the sides, wrapping the foot and giving it something to register against. For a hypermobile dancer whose joints have a lot of give, that extra wing structure helps inhibit the inward rolling and sickling that flexible feet are prone to, especially through turns and balances. The drawstring then lets the fit be tuned around the instep and forefoot, so the foot is supported precisely where it needs it without being clamped. The aim is a foot that stays aligned but still feels free to work.
Who is the Incande best for?
This shoe is built for dancers with hypermobility or joint laxity — very flexible ankles, ligament looseness, or high arches that tend to roll forward and inward on pointe. If a dancer collapses past her box, struggles to control where her foot lands on the platform, or rolls in during pirouettes, she’s the dancer the Incande has in mind. It’s worth being clear: extra lateral support is exactly what a loose, mobile foot wants and exactly what a firm, stable foot doesn’t need, so this isn’t a default shoe for everyone — it’s a targeted answer to a specific challenge.
How do the vamp height and shank options work?
Beyond its V-shaped vamp, the Incande can be fitted in different vamp heights and shank strengths, because flexibility and toe length vary from dancer to dancer. R-Class offers three vamp heights across the Signature line — V1, V2 (standard), and V3 — which change how far the front of the shoe covers the foot; a longer vamp can give a very flexible foot more containment, while a shorter one frees a dancer to get over the platform. The shank, the supportive spine under the foot, comes in Soft, Medium, and Hard. A hypermobile dancer often needs to experiment here, because the right shank can be the difference between staying centered and fighting the shoe. This is exactly the kind of decision a fitting is for.
How does the Incande fit within the R-Class lineup at August Muse?
The Incande is the lateral-support specialist of R-Class’s pleatless Signature (RC) line — the shoe chosen for the foot’s behavior rather than just its width. Other RC shoes target foot shape (tapered, broad, square), while the AD Adaptiv shoes add a longer-lasting reinforced platform and the CL Classic Symphony shoes offer a softer, traditional turned feel. What makes the Incande distinct isn’t how wide or narrow it is — it’s the V-vamp built to manage a flexible, mobile foot. Because hypermobility is so individual, this is a shoe we especially want to fit in person.

Sizing & Fitting Guide
R-Class pointe shoes use metric sizing — sizes 210 through 275, which roughly track foot length in millimeters (size 240 ≈ 24.0 cm / about 9.4 in of foot length), in widths 1 (narrowest) through 7 (widest). This is not your street-shoe size. Because of its V-vamp and extended geometry, the Incande can fit a little differently from other R-Class shoes — many hypermobile dancers need extra lateral room — so it’s fitted on its own, with vamp height and shank strength chosen for how the foot actually behaves on pointe.
| Spec | Range |
|---|---|
| Sizes | 210–275 (metric; ≈ 21.0–27.5 cm / 8.3–10.8 in foot length) |
| Widths | 1–7 (narrow to wide) |
| Vamp heights | V1, V2 (standard), V3 |
| Shanks | Soft, Medium, Hard |
Pointe shoes are not sized like regular shoes, and a poor fit can cause injury. This information is orientation only — never a substitute for a professional in-person fitting. Please book a fitting at August Muse so we can size you safely on your own foot.
