R-Class Broad RC90 Enchanté – Signature Collection Pointe Shoe
The R-Class broad RC90 Enchanté makes pleatless pointe shoes for wide feet — and it’s the widest shape in R-Class’s entire pleatless line. It’s for the dancer with genuinely broad feet or wide metatarsals who has spent years feeling pinched across the toes, but who doesn’t want the bulky, heavy look that wide shoes sometimes carry. The Enchanté solves both at once: a broad box and wide platform give the forefoot real room and a stable base, while a shallow crown keeps the top of the shoe low and the line sleek. A wide foot finally gets space without looking like it’s wearing a bigger shoe.
It belongs to R-Class’s pleatless Signature Collection, which trades the visible pleats of a traditional shoe for a smoother, more sculpted platform — part of why this wide shoe still looks streamlined.
What makes these pleatless pointe shoes for wide feet?
Two design choices do the work. First, the Enchanté is built on R-Class’s broadest last — the same wide foot-form behind the traditional CL90 Legata — so the box and platform are genuinely wide where a broad foot needs them, giving more surface area for balance and a more even spread of weight across the metatarsals. Second, the crown is deliberately shallow. “Crown” is the height of the box over the top of the foot; keeping it low suits a foot that’s wide but not especially tall, and it’s what lets a broad shoe stay sleek rather than looking deep and clunky. The result is a wide shoe that feels supportive and secure underfoot while still presenting a clean, lifted line on stage.
How does pleatless construction help here?
Pleatless construction means the platform is built without the gathered pleats you’d find under a traditional turned shoe. That gives a smoother platform with less bulk under the metatarsals, a more sculpted aesthetic, and enhanced durability — the shoe holds its shape and support through rehearsals rather than breaking down quickly. For a wide-footed dancer, the reduced bulk underfoot is a real comfort advantage, and the durability matters because a broad, hardworking foot can be tough on shoes. It’s a noticeably different feel from the softer, more pliable CL line — firmer and more streamlined, where the CL is traditional and yielding.
How do the vamp height and shank options work?
Like the rest of the Signature line, the Enchanté can be fitted in three vamp heights — V1, V2 (standard), and V3 — which change how much of the foot the front of the shoe covers, adjusted for toe length and how easily a dancer gets over the platform. The shank, the supportive spine under the foot, comes in Soft, Medium, and Hard to match the dancer’s strength and stage of training. Tips can also be specified as standard satin, a sound-reducing quiet tip, or microfiber. None of these are guesses made online — they’re sorted out in a fitting, on the dancer’s foot.
How does the Enchanté fit within the R-Class lineup at August Muse?
The RC90 Enchanté is the wide end of R-Class’s pleatless Signature line — the broadest, most stable platform with a sleek, low profile. Its closest sibling is the traditional CL90 Legata, which suits very wide feet too but takes the opposite approach: a higher crown and the soft, pliable feel of turned construction, for dancers who want room with a more traditional, yielding feel. So a broad-footed dancer often comes down to a real choice between the two — the sleek, firm, low-profile RC90, or the soft, high-crowned CL90. Trying both on the same foot is genuinely the best way to decide, which is exactly what an in-store fitting is for.

Sizing & Fitting Guide
R-Class pointe shoes use metric sizing — sizes 220 through 275, which roughly track foot length in millimeters (size 240 ≈ 24.0 cm / about 9.4 in of foot length), in widths 1 (narrowest) through 7 (widest). This is not your street-shoe size. The Enchanté runs roomier than most shapes; many dancers take it about a size and a width down from their other R-Class models, but that is only a starting point a fitter confirms on the foot.
| Spec | Range |
|---|---|
| Sizes | 220–275 (metric; ≈ 22.0–27.5 cm / 8.7–10.8 in foot length) |
| Widths | 1–7 (narrow to wide) |
| Vamp heights | V1, V2 (standard), V3 |
| Shanks | Soft, Medium, Hard |
Pointe shoes are not sized like regular shoes, and a poor fit can cause injury. This information is orientation only — never a substitute for a professional in-person fitting. Please book a fitting at August Muse so we can size you safely on your own foot.
Best For
- Dancers with very wide or broad feet and broad metatarsals
- Wide-footed dancers who want room without a bulky, deep-looking shoe
- Dancers who want a broad, stable platform for balance and weight distribution
- Dancers who prefer the firmer, sleeker feel of pleatless construction
- Dancers who benefit from choosing among vamp heights and shank strengths
The honest part: it’s a wide shoe, so on a medium or narrow foot it’s simply too much room. And if you love a softer, more traditional feel, its turned sibling, the CL90 Legata, may suit you better even though it fits a similar foot. The right call is easy to make in person — come in and we’ll put both on your foot and compare.
